Bromley and Sheppards colleges was founded in 1666 by John Warner Bishop of Rochester to house the widows of clergymen who had been loyal to the monarchy during the Civil War.

Address – Bromley and Sheppards Colleges, Bromley, London, BR1 1PE. However it is recommended to follow this post code  instead, BR1 1NZ. The road entrance requires following the A222 round from the junction with Widmore road as there is no entry at the junction with Beckenham Lane. High St at the college road entrance is one way only.

Once full members are going to be directed to a private car park close to the colleges at The Hill Car Park, Beckenham Lane, BR2 0DA. However parking can be subsidised for members attending in kit.

Muster – One Day Event

Time and Date – 13:00 to 17:00 Saturday 15th of October 2016

We are hoping to provide several living history tents and would like to perform two drill displays on the afternoon. Powder is available for display and we would like as many branches of the armies, indeed anyone interested from any regiment to come along.

The college are extremely interested in cameos and front of house plays as well as interaction with the public. If you are interested in performing or have an idea for a short performance this is the ideal place to try it out.

Facilities – We have been given use of the second quad for living history display, the lawn for use of drill display and the use of the common room, kitchen and toilets for our comfort. There are internal toilets in the common room but there will be plastic toilets on site. There is disabled access. The college has also offered to provide soup, bread and cheese for us at a point in the afternoon.

Entry – Completely free to members families but the ticket (£5) can be used to redeem a hog roast so members families who are interested would need to buy one for that.

Parking – At the moment there is space for up to 20 cars on site. Living history will have priority. Once full members are going to be directed to a private car park close to the colleges at The Hill Car Park, Beckenham Lane, BR2 0DA. However parking can be subsidised for members attending in kit.

If you would like to bring living history please let me know so that I can ensure you have parking. If you would like to perform then please let me know so that I can build an itinery of performances.
